  • 17:00 - Pick-up at your hotel in Quy Nhơn.Travel by car to Nhơn Lý fishing village, one of the most picturesque coastal communities in the region.
  • 17:45 - Sunset moment on the beach.Take time to enjoy the peaceful, golden sunset before heading out to sea.
  • 18:00 - Depart on a local fishing boat.Sail to a large floating house on the ocean.
  • The fisherman will demonstrate traditional squid-catching techniques and prepare your tools.
  • Then it’s your turn-cast your line and try to catch squid yourself!
  • 19:30 - Seafood supper at sea.Enjoy a rustic dinner featuring:
  • Fresh prawns
  • Grilled squid
  • Or raw squid with wasabi (for adventurous food lovers!)
  • Relax with a few beers and enjoy the cool ocean breeze.
  • 21:00 - Return to shore.Arrive back on land, wash up, and double-check your belongings.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOURNEY:

  • Basket boat and fishing boat pictures, we do not have a private boat so we have to share with others.
  • Squid fishing platform on the sea
  • At the end of the tour, around 21:00, there is an optional net-casting activity—a nightly fishing routine where local fishermen catch prawns, fish, and squid. Guests may board the boat to experience traditional net fishing alongside the fishermen. Any fish or squid caught can be cooked on the floating house or taken home if you wish. However, this activity depends entirely on the weather and the sea conditions of the day. Before boarding the boat, the fishermen will inform guests whether the activity can take place. In some rare cases, the weather may be calm at the beginning of the tour, but stronger winds or waves may arise around 21:00–21:30, making it impossible to cast the nets. Since this activity is completely dependent on nature and cannot be controlled by the fishermen, we kindly ask for your understanding.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Suitable for travelers who enjoy authentic local experiences and night activities at sea.
  • Life jackets will be provided and must be worn on the boat.
  • The seasick guests should think carefully about the journey.
  • Weather conditions may affect the tour schedule.
  • As this is an experiential tour, the included meal is a light meal. Guests are advised to eat beforehand for the best experience.
  • Because the floating house is located out at sea, guests who wish to drink soft drinks or beer should purchase them before boarding.
  • Any squid you catch can be cooked on-site or taken home, depending on your preference.
  • Please do not throw any trash into the sea.
  • Guests are kindly asked not to use drones or flycams, following Vietnamese regulations.
  • The squid in this area lives in a natural environment, so some days there may be squid, and some days there may not. Whether a guest catches squid depends on their skill, patience, and a bit of luck. Not all guests will catch squid, and we kindly ask for your understanding.
  • If the group does not catch any squid, guests will still enjoy a light meal on the floating house (menu below):
  • Grilled fish
  • Stir-fried instant noodles
  • Fish cooked in a savory local style
  • Steamed prawns: Rice paper + fresh herbs + woven rice vermicelli/ Fresh squid (sashimi, grilled, steamed…) if caught during the tour

CHILDREN POLICY AND SURCHARGE:

  • Under 5 years old: Free of charge (100%).
  • From 6 to 9 years old: 50% of the adult tour price.
  • From 10 years old and above: Charged as an adult.

How long is the boat ride to the fishing spot?

The boat ride to the fishing spot takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. During this time, you can enjoy the beautiful sea view and the cool ocean breeze. It’s a relaxing and scenic part of the tour.

I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

Yes, there is a single supplement for solo travellers. Our private tours can be arranged for any group size; however, departures are confirmed for groups of 2 guests. If you’re travelling alone, you can either pay the single supplement.

What payment methods are accepted for the tour?

Payment is accepted in cash only, in USD or VND.

What is the tour cancellation policy?
